Laser Hair Removal
What is Laser Hair Removal?
Our method of
laser hair removal involves using a revolutionary
new technology called elos technology. This
new technology is designed to target and destroy
hair follicles permanently.
How Laser Hair Removal works:
|
 |
The first step of the process involves preheating the target using optical energy.
This creates a thermal path where the radio frequency
travels. Since hair follicles are unable to conduct
radio frequencies, the result is a thermal transfer
of a 4x heat coefficient. Under intense magnification,
the results are evident. The hair follicle is completely
denatured.
How You Prepare
Prior to scheduling a treatment for laser hair removal, you will meet with our doctor to converse about whether the procedure will work for you the way you want it to. In this meeting our doctor will ask you for your medical history about any conditions you may have had, or any medications you are currently taking. Also, photographs will be taken from different angles of the target area and will be used in before and after shots and long term reviews. Our doctor will also discuss with you the risks, benefits, and expectations so that you will have a realistic view of the procedure and how it will take place.
What to avoid:
Sun exposure four to six weeks prior to treatment: a visual tan will increase the risk of blistering and discoloration, as well as other possible side effects.
Avoid waxing, plucking the hair, and/or electrolysis three weeks before treatment: However, shaving prior to treatment is recommended as laser hair removal is most effective when hairs are shaved short but still visible.
